Dental discount plan with dental insurance
Right now both my husband and I have dental insurance though his job. My issue with it is that it only has a $1000.00 max limit per person. This is not high enough for our dental needs. What I want to do is get a dental discount plan that will help reduce the cost for dental services so that when the claims are submitted to our insurance company it may helps prolong how fast we keep maxing out each year.
My dental insurance lets us go to any dentist we want so that is a plus I understand that I have to go to plan providers under a discount plan. My question is before buying a dental discount plan, will I be able to use both like I want to ?

If you can find a dentist in the discount plan network willing to accept both plans then yes. It just means calling the dentist and confirming before buying a dental plan that it will work the way you want it too.

Getting a dental discount plan to combine with insurance may work but like the one reply stated make sure you confirm with the dentist before getting one.
If you already have a dentist in mind call their office and make sure that they are willing to combine plans. If so ask them what are some of the plan they take they you can combine like you want to.
